            Rabies exposure in military personnel

"US Department of Veterans Affairs "

By: On Behalf Of Erskine, Timothy

The attached advisory from the US Department of Veterans Affairs is aimed at military personnel returning from overseas areas with very high incidence of rabies. Because the disease may appear as long as 18 months after exposure, it is important for all EMS personnel to be aware of the possibility of encountering people with signs or symptoms of rabies. Please see the attached flyer for full details.
